Want to try the Olympic sport of curling? You can take a fun lesson at our local Las Vegas facility located near Sunset Park and Harry Reid Airport.
In your 90-minute lesson, we’ll teach you the basics of delivering a curling stone, show you how to sweep (that’s where all the yelling happens) and then you'll actually get to play in a brief curling game!
You've got Questions? We've got answers!
What do I need to bring?
Nothing really – we provide all the equipment you’ll need for your first experience with curling. Just bring your enthusiasm to learn a fun, new sport.
What should I wear?
Dress in layers. It may feel cold when you start, (the arena temperature averages 45-50 degrees), so dress as you might for outside weather (i.e., gloves, hat, thick socks), but keep in mind that once you get moving into the active parts of the lesson/game, you may feel quite warm so layers are recommended.
For shoes, wear clean, athletic (rubber soled) shoes. And, long pants only (no shorts.)
Are there age or health restrictions?
Anyone age 12 and up can learn to curl. (Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.) If a parent would like a younger child to learn we can make an exception.
Anyone with physical limitations in regards to bending, squatting or lunging will be able to deliver the stones using an alternative delivery device called a "stick." Also, sweeping is not mandatory if an individual is unable to walk down the ice sheet while slightly bent over. We will provide complete instruction for this adaptive form of play.
What equipment is needed?
We supply all of the equipment necessary for the game of curling (stones, brooms, sliders, stabilizers).
Can my friends and family come and watch?
Can we do a private event for a group?
Yes! We do them all the time! Curling is a great way to team build or to celebrate a special occasion in a fun, different atmosphere. Click here to tell us more about your event.
