Yale Club of Nevada - Learn to Curl 02-07-26
CURLING! We’re talking the sport - not hair or biceps! This private YCN event is for beginners, but by the end of the session, you’ll gain sports cred as you show off your curling knowledge during the upcoming Winter Olympics!
When your friends ask, “What the heck is going on? How heavy is that stone? Why are they sweeping the ice?” you’ll be able to cooly answer all their burning questions after this private Yale Club of NV Learn to Curl event!
Often called “chess on ice,” curling is a game of strategy, patience, and precision. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves! This event is for beginners. We’ll be learning the basics of curling in a fun, fast-paced session that will wrap up with an abbreviated game that teaches the basics of curling rules and scoring.
If you have injuries or restrictions that prevent you from bending down to the "lunge" position you can still participate! There is a standing version that allows you to use a delivery stick and stay upright as you push the stone, so no excuses!

Attire: No special clothes or gear are necessary, but it is recommended that you dress comfortably wearing long pants (NO SHORTS), a jacket, gloves, and CLEAN athletic shoes (no heels or boots).
